📢 Account Status & Sharing Deposit Enhancement
Effective Date: 25th July 2026
Dear Carer,
As part of our ongoing commitment to improving your Gathercare experience, we will be introducing an enhancement on the Account Status and Sharing Deposit mechanism effective 25 July 2026.
The purpose of this enhancement is to simplify account status tracking and make it easier for carers to understand sharing deposit balance, payment obligations, and Crowd Share participation eligibility.
💡 Why Are We Making This Enhancement?
Over the years, we have received many enquiries from carers regarding their account status, Sharing Deposit balance, and top-up requirements.
Some of the most common questions include:
“Why is my top-up RM80 when monthly Crowd Share is only RM50 (6-40 yrs old)?”
“How much Sharing Deposit balance do I have remaining? Am I still eligible for coverage?”
“I find it difficult to check my payment deduction history for my carer account.”
“What is Penalty/Repayment for?”
To address these concerns, Gathercare has decided to enhance Account Status & Sharing Deposit system which designed to provide clearer account status progression, improved visibility of Sharing Deposit balances, a simpler Sharing Deposit mechanism, and a more transparent experience for all carers.
As part of this enhancement, account status definitions, eligibility for Crowd Share participation, Sharing Deposit top-up requirements, and account reactivation procedures will be different and updated accordingly.
Please review the information below to understand how this enhancement may affect your membership and account management moving forward.
