The Present: Strengthening Operations and Expanding Reach

As of early 2025, Gathercare has grown to support over 3,500 Carers and has successfully shared more than MYR 6 million in medical expenses across 800+ medical cases. This highlights the strength of Gathercare’s model and the priority it places on its community.

In February 2025, Gathercare began a restructuring exercise to enhance service delivery and overall user experience. Besides that, a new partnership was formed with IHP as the company’s Medical Third-Party Administrator (TPA) to strengthen access to a wider network of 300 hospitals and 3,399 clinics, improve the cashless hospital admission experience, and offer Second Medical Opinion (SMO) for our Carers. As part of these improvements, a new mobile app is also in development to offer a more user-friendly, secure, and convenient platform for Carers to access services.

Gathercare is currently advancing several key initiatives, including:

  • Strategic Collaboration with Basel Medical: On 19 March 2025, Gathercare and Basel Medical formalised their partnership through an MoU signing ceremony, marking a key step in Gathercare’s marketing and investment expansion plan into Southeast Asia, with Basel Medical coming on board as lead investor.
